About Me
Following on from study and training in Therapeutic and Advance Remedial Massage therapy
I began my Inverness-based practice in October 1995. Originally trained with the Scottish School
of Professional Massage and have continued to study over the years and add skills to my
massage practice. I now offer a range of massage therapies while remaining committed
to providing A.R.M. therapy to aid recovery from injury/soft tissue damage and ongoing
prevention.
The therapies range from basic relaxation Massage and include Specialist Massage modalities of
Indian Head Massage, Eastern Facial Massage, Thai Hand and Foot Massage alongside Reflexology and Reiki Healing.
My original reason for studying massage came from a background of sport – as a competitive athlete I had received massage as part of my training programme to prepare me for competition and aid recovery from training sessions. In the very rare event of an injury alongside the normal rehab programme I found also benefited from massage therapy.

What to Expect
Whether you are receiving Massage, Reflexology or Reiki Healing your initial visit includes a free consultation. Within this consultation information including personal and health matters, general information of employment, hobbies, interest, activities may be asked for.
Where you are presenting with a specific condition e.g. sciatic pain, frozen shoulder, whiplash, forms of back pain etc as much information as possible regarding previous injuries, length of time you have had the condition, limitations in movement, pain experienced would be beneficial and any previous or current treatments.
A number of clients are referred to me through other health practitioners for soft tissue treatment and I occasionally find it relevant to suggest another form of treatment that may be beneficial.
After care treatment can sometimes include very general home exercise suggestions and or consult a physical therapist for rehabilitation advice.
If treatment is a therapeutic/remedial session you can expect to be treated while lying down on a couch. It would be normal to be down to underwear however body areas which are not being treated should be fully covered. Where the choice of treatment is for a specialist massage, massage, reflexology or reiki healing it would be normal to be wearing light comfortable clothes to allow access to the face, head, neck, shoulders, hands or feet.

Cancellations
There may be a full treatment charge in the case of less than 24 hours notice of cancellation or where there is a non appearance at the scheduled time.
